Heritage Days in St. Charles, 2013

Last weekend we enjoyed participating in Heritage Days in St. Charles, Missouri. The event commemorates the days that Lewis and Clark and their Corps of Discovery spent in St. Charles in 1804, as well as the time surrounding it as the town and area was settled under the French, Spanish, and American governments.

Our former corps, the Lewis and Clark Fife and Drum Corps of St. Charles, MO, getting ready for the parade. They were looking great!

We were marching as part of the Illinois Territorial Rangers (from the War of 1812).

  1. We always enjoyed going to this event; wish we could've this year! My favourite part I believe, was always the fife and drum corps!
(when I was little, it vied for favourite with the delights of buying different colours of licourice to munch on, though. ;))
