The Western Plains Fife and Drum Corps (originally The Missouri Patriots F&DC) was started by three brothers in February 2011 to remember the bravery and Christian legacy of our country's founders and protectors.
The fife and drum have been an important part of American history. From Jamestown and Plymouth to the War Between the States, the fife and drum have regulated and motivated the defenders of our soil, and continue to be a reminder of the trials our forefathers went through to bequeath to us a land of liberty and justice.
The WPFDC portrays the fifes and drums of the militia, particularly from the time of the War of 1812 in the Missouri Territory, and is currently garrisoned in Elizabeth, Colorado, south-east of Denver.
We are available for special events, including parades; historic events; arts, cultural and community festivals; memorial ceremonies; patriotic ceremonies; private events; rallies; and performances for schools and civic organizations. For contact, email me at peterjb[at]truevine.net.
